Novice – 3 Lift Powerlifting Competition

 

When – 9th February 2020 (Sunday)

 

What – This is an UN-Sanctioned event, open to novice lifters interested in gaining experience in a powerlifting competition. Anybody can enter. Wrists wraps/knee wraps are allowed along with Normal Gym Clothing.

You do not need to be part of ANY Fed to compete in this event.

 

Where – The event will be held at Warrior Performance.  Unit 2/1 Cawarra Rd, Caringbah, NSW, 2229

 

Weigh in’s – You choose which one suits you best.
Saturday – 10am-12pm
Sunday – 8am-8.45am (Lifting starts at 10am sharp)

 

Cost – $75 (Free for spectators) – We will cap the event at 50 lifters

Registration
1. Transfer comp fee $75 to – Shannon Green, BSB – 082-367, Acc – 89-664-4465 using your name as a reference

2. Email a copy of your payment recipit to – coach@warriorperformance.com.au

3. In that email – in the subject bar put the event title ie; Novice February Comp

4. in the body of the email list your – Name, Age, Gender & Bodyweight.

**Competition fees are NON-refundable & NON-transferable**.

 

 

RULES – We will have a lifters briefing 1hr before lifting starts, we will be following the GPC rulebook for lifting commands.

Squat – Ref will give a start command once you have un-racked the weight and are steady. Squat down till hip crease is below the knee, stand up fully erect and steady. Wait for the ref to give a rack command to return the bar to the rack.

Bench Press – Ref will give a start command once you have un-racked the bar and the weight is steady. Lower bar down till it touches your chest. Bar must be stationary on the chest, ref will give a press command. Press the bar back up until your elbows are locked out. Keep it steady and wait for the ref to give the rack command to return the bar to the rack.

Deadlift – Start when your ready. Lift the bar up till knees, hips and shoulders are locked out. You will get a down command from the ref. Lower the bar down under control, hands must remain attached to the bar till it is placed back on the floor.

Clothing – Gym clothes can be worn, you must wear a t-shirt during squats and bench press, and shins must be covered during the deadlift with either knee high socks, shin guards or long pants.
